Privacy Policy
Effective date: May 31, 2026
TinyTrack ("we", "our", or "the app") is a baby tracking application developed by an independent developer. We take your family's privacy extremely seriously. This policy explains what data we collect, how it's stored, and your rights.
Summary: Your baby care data stays on your device and in your personal iCloud account. We use limited third-party services for app analytics, crash diagnostics, remote configuration, and subscription analytics. We do not show ads, sell your data, or use your child's care records for advertising.
1. Data We Collect
Baby Care Data
The app stores records you create about your child's care:
- Feeding logs (type, duration, volume)
- Sleep logs (start/end times)
- Diaper change logs
- Growth measurements (weight, height, head circumference)
- Health records (temperature, symptoms, doctor visits)
- Medication logs
- Developmental milestones
- Mama care logs (mood, notes)
Child Profile Information
- Child's name and date of birth
- Profile photo (optional)
- Milestone photos (optional)
App Settings
- Display preferences (theme, units of measurement)
- Notification/reminder preferences
Purchase Information
- Subscription status (free/premium) - purchases are processed by Apple through StoreKit 2, and limited subscription metadata may be sent to RevenueCat for subscription analytics
Technical and Usage Data
To improve reliability and understand app usage, the app may collect limited technical data:
- App events, feature usage, and subscription-related events
- Crash diagnostics, performance data, device model, operating system version, and app version
- Remote configuration values used to enable, disable, or adjust app behavior
2. Data We Do NOT Collect
- Your name, email address, or phone number
- Your location
- Advertising identifiers used for tracking
- Browsing or search history
- Any data from other apps on your device
3. Where Your Data Is Stored
On Your Device
All data is stored locally on your iPhone using Apple's SwiftData framework. Data never leaves your device unless you enable iCloud sync.
iCloud Sync (Optional)
If iCloud is enabled on your device, your data is automatically synced to your personal iCloud account via Apple's CloudKit. This allows you to access your data across multiple devices. Apple manages iCloud security and encryption. We do not have access to your iCloud data.
No Developer-Operated Data Servers
TinyTrack does not operate its own servers, databases, or cloud infrastructure for your baby care data. We cannot access, read, or process your child profiles, logs, notes, photos, health records, or milestones.
4. Data Encryption
Premium subscribers can enable AES-256-GCM encryption for sensitive data fields (notes, health records). Encrypted data is secured with a device-specific key stored in the iOS Keychain. Even if someone accessed the raw database file, encrypted fields would be unreadable.
5. Third-Party Services
TinyTrack uses the following external services:
- Apple CloudKit - optional iCloud sync for your personal iCloud account. Apple manages iCloud storage, security, and encryption.
- Apple StoreKit 2 - in-app purchases and subscription status. Apple processes all payment data.
- Apple Push Notifications - local reminders only. TinyTrack does not send remote push notifications from a developer-operated server.
- Firebase Analytics - app usage and subscription-related events, used to understand which features are used and improve the app.
- Firebase Crashlytics - crash reports and diagnostics, used to fix bugs and improve reliability.
- Firebase Remote Config - configuration values used to adjust app behavior without requiring an app update.
- RevenueCat - subscription analytics in observer mode. Purchases remain processed by Apple through StoreKit 2.
Baby care data is not sent to Firebase or RevenueCat.
We do not intentionally send feeding logs, sleep logs, diaper logs, growth measurements, health records, medication logs, notes, child names, birth dates, or photos to analytics, crash reporting, remote configuration, or subscription analytics services.
6. Children's Privacy
TinyTrack is designed for parents and caregivers to track their baby's development. The app does not collect data directly from children. All data is entered by the parent/caregiver. We comply with COPPA (Children's Online Privacy Protection Act) and similar regulations.
7. Your Rights
You have full control over your data:
- Access: All your data is visible within the app at all times
- Export: Premium users can export data as PDF reports
- Delete: You can delete any individual record, any child profile, or all data at any time from within the app
- iCloud: You can disable iCloud sync in iOS Settings. You can delete iCloud data via Settings > Apple ID > iCloud > Manage Storage
- Uninstall: Deleting the app removes all local data. iCloud data can be removed separately via iOS Settings
8. Data Retention
Your baby care data exists only on your device and, if enabled, in your personal iCloud account. When you delete baby care data in the app, it is removed from local app storage and from iCloud sync according to Apple's CloudKit behavior.
Technical analytics, crash diagnostics, remote configuration data, and subscription analytics may be retained by Firebase, RevenueCat, and Apple according to their own retention policies.
9. Security
- Local data is protected by iOS device encryption and your device passcode/biometrics
- iCloud data is protected by Apple's iCloud encryption
- Optional AES-256-GCM encryption for sensitive fields (premium feature)
- Encryption keys are stored in the iOS Keychain, protected by the Secure Enclave
- No baby care data is transmitted to any server we operate
10. Changes to This Policy
If we make material changes to this privacy policy, we will notify you through the app before the changes take effect. The "Effective date" at the top of this page indicates when the policy was last updated.
